INVITES you to participate in a scientific and practical seminar

ETHICS OF USING CHATGPT, SCITE, ELICIT, AND SCISPACE

IN THE PREPARATION OF SCIENTIFIC TEXTS

The seminar is dedicated to the current challenges of using generative artificial intelligence in scientific research and academic writing.

Seminar participants will explore the following topics:

ethical and security risks associated with the use of artificial intelligence in the preparation of scientific texts;

geopolitical and jurisdictional aspects of using large language models;

specifics of artificial intelligence regulation in various countries around the world and their impact on scientific activity;

principles of responsible and safe use of artificial intelligence tools in research practice;

the problem of hallucinations in large language models and their impact on the reliability of scientific information;

risks of leaks of confidential data, unpublished research results, and intellectual property, etc.

Special attention will be given to international recommendations on the use of artificial intelligence in science, issues of transparency in the application of digital tools, and the preservation of researchers’ academic autonomy

Two presentations will be given during the seminar

1. From Academic Integrity to Information Security: Risks of Using Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Writing

Speaker – Hanna TRUBA, Ph.D. in Philology, Associate Professor, Senior Research Fellow at the “Biotechnika” Engineering and Technology Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine

2. Security and Ethical Considerations in the Use of AI

Speaker – Andriy PANKO, Ph.D. in Chemistry, Senior Researcher, Senior Research Associate at the F.D. Ochvarenko Institute of Biocolloid Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
